eBook promotion is a skill any eBook author must learn if they wish their book to be successful.
Here i present 5 eBook marketing strategies.
1) Article Marketing.
This method is quite simply amazing.
You simply write as many articles as you can about your eBook topic and include a back link to your e book web page. Bear in mind that quantity is key, but it goes hand in hand with quality. It is no good to write lots of articles if they are of no use to the reader, this will lead to few clicks on your back link. It is also of little point to write a few great articles because the traffic will be obviously less than if you have a lot of articles. Write many, write well.
2) Community Forums.
Join online forums that are based around your eBook topic. If your eBook is about fishing, then go to a fishing forum and join in the conversations. The rules here are simple. Be a useful and active member. Do not be a spammer. You will be disliked and probably banned very quickly. Contribute to the community and be useful and polite. Of course do not forget to add your all important back link into your signature.
3) Social Marketing.
Set up a Face book page or Twitter account and build a following. Again, be useful and informative. Do not just bombard your followers with adverts for your eBook. They are following you to learn from you, not to buy from you. Though if you build the trust with your knowledge then sales will follow. Obey the rules on promotion.
4) Pay per click.
One of the tried and tested eBook marketing strategies. Pay per click can drive targeted customers to your eBook like few other methods. But it of course comes at a price. The wise way of doing this is to set your daily budget low to begin with and to heavily research your keywords before bidding on them. You would be surprised how much major keywords can cost per click. You will also be pleasantly surprised just how cheap some keywords can be when you find them. Research, and research well before jumping head first into this eBook marketing strategy.
5) Free ad sites.
Many eBook authors overlook this great promotion method. There are many free ad sites on the internet, but not all are created equal when it comes to traffic. Some of the top sites will literally flood your site with traffic, others will provide a trickle at best. Most free ad sites also offer packages that will contain their best promotion features, of course at a fee, but this is usually small and pays itself back very quickly with the right product.
My personal choice from this list is the free ad site due to the quick and usually large traffic they produce for minimal work and cost.
